By Road:
North on the A9 from Glasgow or Edinburgh via Perth - do not take the turn off right into Aviemore, but stay on A9 for just 100 metres and then turn left, signposted Lynwilg.

From the east The A95 runs straight into town you can join it at Crainellachie, from Elgin, Keith or Dufftown. The road in from Forres and Nairn over the Dava Moor, to Grantown-on-Spey, is one of the most picturesque wilderness routes. For variety travelling from Royal Deeside through Tomintoul, via Grantown-on-Spey to Aviemore, exposes you to some of the best views in the eastern Highlands. Driving South through Aviemore, join the A9 and turning right towards Inverness, Lynwilg is the immediate left turn off the A9.

By Air:
Inverness airport is only 39 miles from Aviemore and has regular links to many UK cities and some service to the continent, with a link bus to Inverness and a regular service from Inverness to Aviemore. Alight bus/coach at Aviemore and Lynwilg is a short taxi ride away.

By Rail:
The main line from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Inverness stops at Aviemore, this may be the least stressful way to start your visit. Keep an eye on the News page for information on the Steam Rail line between Aviemore and Grantown. Alight the train at Aviemore and Lynwilg is a short taxi ride away.
